...so this scandie gave that baseball thing another shot last night, the seattle mariners vs. the cincinnati reds. ended up being a fun night with friends; drinks and a overload of cracker jacks and garlic fries...good times!

so today the future queen of Sweden was wed, and as the scandie land watched in awe, as she oh so gracefully walked down the aisle in an overfilled Stockholm’s dome. i can’t help but feeling a bit mixed…my late grandmother on the other hand was a hardcore royalist, collecting decorative plates with faces of kings and queens on display all over her dining room. me- not the biggest royalist, even though i got to visit the royal palace in oslo at age 10.still remembering that magic like feeling; with endless wall murals, gold trimmings and fancy guards walking about. these days the symbolic nature of it all gets a bit over the top for my liking, but regardless of what one might think of the whole shebang. best of luck; victoria and your prince charming...
